Driver onboarding: how approval works
Everything you need to get approved and start taking jobs — the documents we need, how to send them, and what happens at each step.
1. Apply online
Fill in the driver sign-up form with your details, vehicle and the areas you want to work. It takes about ten minutes and saves as you go.
2. Upload your documents
Upload clear photos or scans of the documents listed below, straight from the sign-up form. You can come back and add more later — your progress is saved.
3. Interview and checks
We have a short chat with you, check your documents and confirm your bank details for payouts. You can follow each step on your application status page.
4. Approved and live
Once everything is approved we create your driver login, email you, and switch you live for jobs. Trips appear in your driver app and you choose which to accept.
Documents you must send
We can't approve you until every one of these is uploaded and checked. Photos from your phone are fine as long as they're clear and in date.
DVLA/DVA driving licence
Photocard, both sides in one file if possible.
Taxi / private hire driver badge
Council or TfL issued badge showing expiry date.
Hire & reward insurance certificate
Must be in date and cover hire and reward.
MOT certificate
Current MOT for the vehicle you will drive.
V5C logbook
Vehicle registration document (page 1 is enough).
Optional, but helpful
Public liability insurance
Optional — required for some corporate and tour work.
DBS / Disclosure Scotland certificate
Optional but speeds up school and corporate approvals.
Vehicle photo
Optional — a clear side-on photo of your vehicle.
Your rate card
Optional — your own prices (PDF or photo). We use council rates if you don't send one.
Bank details and pricing
Add the bank account you want your payouts sent to — we check it before you go live. If you have your own rate card, send it and we'll price your jobs from it once approved; otherwise your jobs are priced on the local council taxi tariff.
How to submit your documents
- • In the sign-up form — the easiest way. Upload each document in the documents step; you can save and come back later.
- • Already applied? Open your application status page from the link in your confirmation email to add anything that's missing.
- • Stuck? Email your documents to us or send them on WhatsApp and we'll attach them to your application.
